Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association’s mission is to inspire and instill a lifelong passion for the performance of classical music in artists and audience through stimulating concerts, culturally diverse collaborations, and educational outreach.
The Association sponsors:
Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic - an adult orchestra of about 70 professional, semi-professional and advanced amateur musicians.
Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra - an area wide orchestra of 65 musicians for advanced musicians who have not yet graduated from high school that performs standard orchestral repertoire.
A Summer Chamber Music Series at The Lyceum in Old Town, Alexandria each Sunday from late June through early September.Contact Information:
