The Arts Means Business and Dollars to our Economy

Alexandria is currently participating in the nationwide Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 study, a program of Americans for the Arts.  This project aims to assess the total economic impact of the arts and culture in the City of Alexandria.  Alexandria Arts Forum along with the Alexandria Commission for the Arts and Office of the Arts are working together to get the word out about the importance of participating in the study.

Nonprofit Arts Organizations in the City of Alexandria are asked to survey their arts patrons during their arts events, such as concerts or gallery openings.  Each organization would should plan to administer the survey to no less than 25 people during the event. Please submit the surveys to the Alexandria Office of the Arts as soon as they are completed.  Surveys can also be dropped off at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St with attention to Cheryl Anne Colton.

The deadline to participate in this survey is December 30, 2016.  If you or your organization have any specific questions, please contact Cheryl Anne Colton at cherylanne.colton@alexandriava.gov.  Surveys can either be picked up from Cheryl Anne Colton, or printed using the PDF below.
